Google Chrome browser for mobile devices subjected to a patent lawsuit from a technology company from the United States. It is EMG Technology, a company that filed the lawsuit. EMG accused Google has violated their own navigation technology. The lawsuit filed earlier this week in eastern Texas court.

Quoted from Cnet, Friday (07/13/2012), this lawsuit seeks to scuttle Google to not distribute Google Chrome into mobile devices that are sold in U.S.

"Mobile Chrome browser directly infringe Patent 196 which is showing mobile web pages on smartphone and tablet using EMG navigation system that has been simplified and patented," a piece of EMG lawsuit content to Google.

EMG spokesperson, Elliot Gottfurcht explained, this technology allows users to navigate on the touch screen with a unique input system and manipulate the screen for zooming and scrolling.

Mobile phones with Android operating system still dominates. Recent data indicate that Android OS become the most widely used by people in United States and Europe. Android's market share in several countries like  United States, Germany, Britain, France, Italy, Spain and Australia has achieved 50%. Samsung Galaxy S III was mentioned using plastic for their body. But  Samsung denies this. They claim, Galaxy S III casing is made of polycarbonate material. Two months after the launch of the first Windows Phone platform in China through Nokia Lumia 800C and 610C, Microsoft claims that Windows-based mobile phone sales has beat Apple iPhone sales.

As quoted from VR-Zone, Microsoft Chief Operating Officer for China Regional, Michel van der Bel said that Windows Mobile now has market share in China by 7 percent, or slightly higher than the iPhone product market share by 6 percent.

New Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Research In Motion (RIM), Thorsten Heins, open his first BlackBerry World event. Wearing a black suit, Heins revealed several things that had been previously anticipated, especially  BlackBerry OS 10.

"BlackBerry is all about success. BlackBerry creating success, supporting the success of BlackBerry users, because they are more productive with BlackBerry," Heins said when opening BlackBerry World 2012 event.

He said 65% of smartphone users, they use organizational tool every day. 77 million BlackBerry users also do that everyday. Blackberry is claimed Thorsten helped their user save time doing various tasks.

Research in Motion (RIM) has launched the latest version of Twitter application for BlackBerry. The latest version (3.0.0.24) has several bug fixes and RIM have re-activated some features that be turned off because of the bug.

Update 3.0.0.24 version consists of the ability to:
1. Prevent error that usually happen each time user uses the application
2. Avoid freezing problem on Blackberry Messenger (BBM)
3. Limiting valid username character every time you create new Twitter account.
4. Reactivate Profile Location Mapping feature complete with latitude and longitude coordinates.
5. Fix the continuous loading when refresh latest tweet.

For the first time, sales of Samsung beat Nokia. South Korean vendors even managed to beat the dominance of Apple with its iPhone in smartphone market. As quoted by BBC, research firm Strategy Analytics reported global mobile phone sales until the end of first quarter of 2012. In the report, sales of mobile phones from Samsung managed to beat the sales of Nokia and Apple mobile phones.

This report was little surprising because Nokia phone sales were unbeaten since 1998. At the report, Samsung  mobile phone sales reached 93.5 million units. Samsung had 25.4 percent of market share.

At the same time, Nokia only sold 82.7 million units, or had only 22.5 percent market share. While Apple sold 35.1 million units with 9.5 percent market share.

Chinese hackers were able to obtain more than 10 million yuan (1.6 million U.S. dollars) per year of developing the virus. That value was mentioned more than drug dealers transactions. As reported Micgadget, now there are more than 210,000 infected smartphone of new phones in China. Local technician explains, the virus usually hidden in game application.

As commercial purpose, the creator will attach virus  into game or application in Android mobile phone. Secretly, that malicious program will charge an additional fee when the mobile users playing the games.

The virus creator is said to rent a dedicated server that does this trick in order to suck the pulse of the user when playing the game.

Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak made a statement that makes Microsoft proud. Steve Wozniak has been trying Nokia Lumia 900 that already use OS Windows Phone, and the result is not too disappointing. In an interview, Wozniak talked about how Microsoft has made an intuitive platform that is easy to use and have beautiful interface. He also called Windows Phone can not be compared with Android Tablet.

"I think Windows Phone has superior and interesting visual appearance," Wozniak said, as quoted from The Next Web, Sunday (29/04/2012).

Wozniak fascination to Windows Phone also added with his statement saying the beauty of this platform engineered by Apple people that are paid for by Microsoft.

Some computer vendors welcomed the idea of product combination between laptop and tablet. Asus already started with Transformer Prime product, as was Intel with Cove Point. However, Apple rejected that idea. Apple CEO Tim Cook said, if iPad and MacBook Air is combined, then it would kill both of them.

"Anything can be forced to combine. You can combine a toaster with a refrigerator, but that will not convenient for users," Cook said as quoted by BBC.

Of course Tim Cook refuse the idea, because sales of iPad is very good. Apple managed to sell 11.8 million iPad units, up 150 percent over the same period last year.
